AUTUNNO IN PIEMONTE

Piemonte, particularly the Langhe, in the land of castles, vineyards and romantic hills shrouded in mist.

In autumn, the nebbia* hovers over the brightly covered hills and one can just make out the villages sitting upon the hilltops.

Winemaking is artisanal, production is small – especially for the top wines – and most wineries are family owned.
These wine makers are among the top producers in Barolo and Barbaresco.

The misty hills of the Lange are magical. Not surprisingly, the wines are pretty unforgettable too.

Saluti! Gerry Stuart Sommelier

*nebbia is fog and this word gives the name to the Langhe’s king of grapes, the nebbiolo.
